On the occasion of The 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake,
a series of "Japan-Taiwan Friendship" related activities were launched to once again
express gratitude to all walks of life in Taiwan.
The 10th anniversary of the March 11th Tohoku Earthquake was in 2021, and the Taiwan Exchange Association of Japan entrusted us with creating animations for the logo and key visuals designed by the Biaugust Creation Office.
2021年是311東日本大地震10週年，受日本台灣交流協會委託，替「兩個八月設計工作室」所設計的logo及主視覺製作動畫。
The main storyline for the animation was inspired by two people holding hands. The images on each side are of the two country’s streets, interiors, and countryside. Jump cuts maintain story coherency and depict the mutual support of two people from youth to old age and is a metaphor for the friendship between Taiwan and Japan.
主視覺的動畫藉由牽手的兩個人發想。畫面兩邊的場景分別為兩國的街景、室內、鄉村…等。採跳接使故事連貫。描述兩個人從年輕相識到老年時仍相互扶持。藉此比喻台灣語日本之間的友誼。
The soundtrack’s lyrics were deliberately simplified in Chinese and Japanese so that adults and children in Taiwan and Japan could immediately comprehend the film’s meaning.
配樂的歌詞刻意設計特別簡單，由中文及日文的單字交錯，讓台灣與日本的大人和小孩都能馬上明瞭此影片所要傳達的意思。
